The Living Room Bar (1355 Olive Way), an ode to the favorite room in the house, also combines elements of daylight basement, with exposed brick and rough wood paneled walls. Imagine itdecorated by your friend who finds all the best stuff thrifting, especially that plush, jewel tone blue couch. Owners Monika Proffit and Clay Roach hired ace MiSuk Ahn, who many know from her tenure at Brasa, to help work the bar. She’s a bartender’s bartender, lightening fast in the well, with a freakishly long memory. The cocktail list here leans towards the light, with many of the concoctions using a bit of the bubbly, and the wine selection is brief but stellar. Happy hour at The Living Room runs every day from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with $2.50 pints and $3.00 well drinks and glasses of wine.
