Judith Novellino was trying to avoid running into her ex. The high school English teacher had recently divorced her husband Anthony Novellino, a 63-year-old security guard, and he wasn’t taking things well. Novellino had threatened Judith’s attorney, telling her, “I will get even with you and you will pay.” Judith was renting an apartment close to their New Jersey home when she went over to collect her belongings. But whatever she was hoping to avoid found her.On Saturday the couple’s daughter went to her parents’ home to check on her mom. There she found Judith’s body. Someone had badly beaten the 62-year-old and stabbed her 80 times. The next day Novellino went missing. He was found last night 3,000 miles away from home, hiding out in a motel room in Puyallup.Police are saying Novellino is only a person of interest in his ex-wife’s murder. But that’s probably because the case is so new they don’t have their ducks in a row enough to name him a suspect.Novellino is currently being held for questioning and awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
