I just got off the phone with Chop Suey’s Pete Greenberg, who gave me the good news that Crocodile general manager Kevin Watson (who I’d argue was hit the hardest by the Croc’s sudden closure) has been hired as the new head of security at Chop Suey. Congrats to Kevin; I’ll be glad to see you in charge again. With all due respect to Whitey and the other excellent security staff around town, Kevin is easily one of the best peace keepers I’ve ever known. I always think of him as the Jedi Knight of De-escalation.Hope to see everyone at the “Unscrew the Crocodile Employees” benefit at Chop Suey this Sunday.
