And now the Federal Drug Administration has approved a new drug made from goat milk, as The New York Times reports here. These special ruminants, already dubbed “pharm animals,” produce a valuable blood protein that can help us humans fight blood clots. So the next time you want to complain to your neighbors about that bleating in their backyard, remember that goat could one day save your life.
