Kustoms & Classics Hot Rod and Chopper Show

Machines

Spend a happy hour trolling Georgetown, and one thing you’ll notice is that there’s never a shortage of bikes. Beyond the Magic Wheels Motorcycle Club or bike night at Smarty Pants—and more in the realm of the sick creations of neighbor Lucky’s Choppers—this Saturday will bring out the sweetest of the sweet rides for the third annual Kustoms & Classics Hot Rod and Chopper Show. The bikes will blow your mind, and the bevy of hot rods are refurbished and reimagined classics that seem a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. With a pre-1970 rule for the cars, and Rainier Cold Storage as a backdrop, it’ll be an amateur photographer’s dream. The show’s sponsored by many of the strip’s bars; just head toward the epicenter of Airport Way South and Vale or treat Jules Maes Saloon, 5919 Airport Way S., as your info booth (cost, one pint). Then wander around for some rocking entertainment, including Bullitt County’s Southern-rock-on-speed and the burlesque stylings of the Shimmy Deluxe ladies.
