Image from KOMO TVHow is he really feeling? Is he doing ok?We can certainly understand King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg’s reasons for not seeking the death penalty in the case of Isaiah Kalebu, the man alleged to have brutally raped and tortured two women in their South Park home last year, killing one of them. Satterberg’s view is that the guy is too mentally deranged to justify executing. But we can hardly believe the comment from one of Kalebu’s defense attorneys, Michael Schwartz, who not only commends Satterberg’s “wise and just decision” but then assures us: “Our client is relieved he is not facing the prospect of death.”Well, thank goodness! I think we were all feeling extremely concerned about Mr. Kalebu’s anxiety level at this very difficult time. Is there any better way to rally public support for Satterberg’s decision than to let the public know that your murderous client has been comforted and his mind put at ease? Maybe Mr. Schwartz could keep us updated on how Kalebu is finding the food as well.
