Is this the rear of a porn star or Mercer Island’s deputy city manager?Recently, the Daily Weekly was leaked the script for a porn flick called The Orifice, which is based on the popular television show, The Office, and will star John Krackinski, Stiff Carrell, and Jenna Fister. In order to gauge how realistic this script is, we also spent a few weeks at Mercer Island City Hall, jotting down observations.Following are select excerpts from one or the other. It’s up to you to guess which–Mercer Island City Hall annotations or The Orificescript–is the source material.- Employees joke openly with one another about their body parts, including pubic hair.- Employees were caught watching an animal sex-video, and emails sent by their superiors included jokes referring to body parts.- The human resources manager flashes her tits to a male employee. That same human resources manager is then emailed photos of a woman with her legs over her head, accompanied by the words: “Maybe this is how you should conduct your exit interviews.”- A managers’ retreat is advertised as a “grab assin'” excursion. At that retreat, a second-in-command’s body is discussed in a graphic manner.- A slideshow intended to educate managers on “do’s and don’ts” in the workplace is shown. The “do” slides feature people in appropriate workplace attire. The “don’t” slides feature a shirtless man standing on a table surrounded by women, with the message: “Sorry folks, no more lingerie shows at lunch time!”The answer? This is not The Orifice. This is, in fact, what is actually alleged to have transpired in recent years at Mercer Island City Hall.
