Sunny Day Real Estate’s surprise performance at Hell’s Kitchen in Tacoma tomorrow night is a surprise no more. According the Tacoma Volcano, the “special guest” at tomorrow night’s Glimpse show is, in fact, SDRE. Even though SDRE doesn’t “officially” launch its reunion tour until Thursday, the Hell’s Kitchen show is the first time the band will have performed together–with the full, original line-up–in nearly a decade. It’s also the only time to see SDRE in the PacNW before the show at the Paramount in Seattle Oct. 16. The band plays Portland this Friday night for MusicFest NW, but that show is already sold out. (The Tacoma show is also the cheapest SDRE ticket available, at only 5 bucks. Chances are, it’s gonna sell out pretty fast, too. )In other SDRE news: Diary and the LP2 (the Pink Album) were re-issued today on Sub Pop.
