Well Tang did that, but not quite in the way the phrase was intended.According to the P-I, Tang’s troubles began where all troubles for men begin: while doing the laundry. A neighbor at his Highline apartment building got upset when the 31-year-old dumped some of her mother’s clothes on to the floor of a communal laundry room. This woman had heard that Tang walked around the apartment building carrying a loaded gun in a diaper bag. Knowing this, she took Tang’s threats to fight her seriously and called the cops.Police tried to get Tang to come out of his apartment and talk. He refused, instead rushing into a bedroom while clutching his infant son. Wedged into the corner of the room, Tang allegedly used the boy as a human shield to cover his face and chest while reaching under his coat with his free hand. When cops threatened to fire, Tang reportedly dropped a loaded 9 mm on the floor.Tang, though, still held on to the child. And according to charging documents, he pointed something cylindrical at the cops and yelled, “Shoot me, motherfucker!”The cops obliged. Though with tasers, not real guns.After arresting Tang and grabbing the child, cops searched the infamous diaper bag and found two rounds of 9 mm ammunition and a red bandanna. Tattoos on Tang’s body further confirmed him to be a member of the “Loko Asian Boyz,” an affiliate of the Bloods (although probably not one of the franchises they’re most proud of).Tang has been charged with first-degree unlawful gun possession, harassment and reckless endangerment. It is not, however, his first run-in with the law. Tang also a conviction for second-degree murder on his record from way back in 1993, when he was only 13.
