Sonicsgate Trailer from sonicsgate on Vimeo.Seattle Weekly videographer Jason Reid’s labor of love, Sonicsgate, a documentary chronicling the rise and fall of the Emerald City’s former team, premieres tonight at SIFF Cinema. Two Seattle Times writers have already gotten the chance to watch it. Steve Kelley thinks the film is the wailing wall all Sonics fans deservet. Percy Allen says it’s an “unconventional love story told in three acts.” They both agree that, for anyone who cares about the NBA in Seattle, it’s really, really depressing. We’ve pimped the preview before, but if you still haven’t watched it take a look above. Sonicsgate’s SIFF premiere is sold out tonight, but there are still tickets available for Saturday’s 8 P.M. showing at Pacific Place. No worry for you shut-ins: The film is available online for free starting October 12th.
