The last few years haven’t been too kind to the Seahawks, Mariners, or Husky football team. Which made this weekend particularly welcome relief. To review:The Huskies beat the University of Idaho (of Chris Kornelis fame) 42-23, ending a 15 game losing streak. Moreover, Jake Locker was once again accurate in his passing, and is among the national leaders in total yards. Next up: Papa Bear and his Trojans. (Yikes!)The Hawks pitched a 28-0 shutout over the St. Louis Rams to begin the Jim Mora era.The Mariners saw Ichiro reach 200 hits for the 9th straight season–a major league record–while Felix Hernandez kept himself in contention for the Cy Young award (which really should go to Zack Greinke anyway.)If you jumped off the bandwagon in the bad times, who can blame you? It looked like they might never end. But if you stayed on, pat yourself on the back. And enjoy the good times while they last.
