Microsoft is leaving nothing to chance with its attempts to keep Apple from trademarking the term “App Store.” In fact, the Redmond company’s lawyers just filed a motion with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to have Apple’s trademark filing stricken because . . . wait for it . . . the font is too small in the filing documents. Todd Bishop, from his and his partner John Cook’s brand-new tech blog GeekWire, reports that Microsoft is holding Apple to the 11-point-font-or-larger rule on court filings.”Apple’s response brief is 31 pages, including the table of contents and table of authorities, and on information and belief, is printed in less than 11 point font,” reads the motion filed today by Microsoft’s lawyers, accusing Apple of manipulating the text to squeeze in more of its arguments against Microsoft’s opposition to the trademark application.Here’s Microsoft’s text:And here’s Apple’s:For shame!Follow The Daily Weekly on Facebook and Twitter.
