On the topic of public safety: Always stay on well-lit, well-traveled streets, and avoid less touristy neighborhoods such as the Central District, Rainier Beach, and Beacon Hill, especially after dark.Hmmm. That doesn’t necessarily correspond to the crime density map (which admittedly isn’t a per capita measure, and also may reflect the distribution of police resources), but it does correspond to this map.
