J. Pinder”Sky Is Falling,” a Kuddie Fresh-produced banger with a powerful guest appearance from Choklate on the chorus, was at one time the title track from what eventually became the top-notch (and free) Code Red EP. It’s good to hear more from J.Pinder, and his flow is easy to get behind.Fatal’s latest, the Jake One-produced “Cry For Help,” is a welcome update following his February free single “Diamonds”–and a powerfully introspective and brooding one at that. The guitars are just as serious as his thoughts (Maybe then you would listen and wish you had paid more attention to me / Maybe then you would try to understand what I am, a G / Maybe then I wouldn’t feel like a loser every time I didn’t win) and while not every line resonates, the essence of the track definitely does.
