Put a bird on it!Seattle’s Sarathan Records, the indie home to the likes of Feral Children and Thunder Buffalo, is ramping up their PR/marketing division, called Sarathan Online Services. Amy Bauer, the label’s VP of marketing, says the new entity, announced last year, will be working with bands not signed to the label. Bauer says more details will be announced shortly. Interested bands can hit up SOS on their web site.Seattle’s My Goodness, one of the most promising free agents in town, told us last week that they were working with Sarathan for the release of the April 5 debut. Bauer’s not coughing up exactly what that will mean. But says she’ll be ready to announce the details of their relationship with the blues/punk duo “in the very near future.””Yes, Sarathan Records is signing new artists to the label this year,” Bauer said in an e-mail. “Sarathan is handpicking the artists that we chose to work with both as a label entity and for our online services division. At this time we are not at liberty to discuss the details of our relationship with My Goodness.”My Goodness are playing a record-release show at Rendezvous with Whalebones on April 8. Folks: It’s not one to be missed.
