I’ve been enjoying prime rib with a large, frozen mug of Stella Artois at Northgate Way’s Berkshire Grill every first Thursday of the month for the last year-and-a-half, with Joel Connelly and a group of independent television producers whose company I enjoy immensely. Now it looks like we’ll have to find a new northside gathering place for late dinner as I’ve got it on good authority that the Berkshire will be closing this Thursday (it’ll eventually re-open as an Indian restaurant). I wonder if I can coax my comrades instead to the like-minded and not-too-far-away Wedgwood Broiler. Let’s hope so — and let’s raise a mug to the Berkshire’s retirement in the meantime.
