Her sister might be “the pretty one,” but Swedish Crown Princess Victoria will be Queen someday.Sadly the beautiful blond Swedish Princess Madeleine won’t make it for tonight’s tribute to six Nobel Laureates living in Seattle as part of the Sweden Week festivities. She and her fiance broke up amid cheating rumors and now the poor dear needs some time to recuperate in New York. So instead, we get her brunette older sister Victoria. It might be a disappointment if you were hoping to make a play for the foxy younger royal, but it turns out having Victoria in town is a much bigger coup for the area’s Scandinavians. “We’re entertaining the future Queen of Sweden,” says a harried-sounding Swedish Cultural Center director Kristine Leander. “Which is a way bigger deal.”As the eldest of the two sisters, Victoria is the heir to the crown. And being a more important political figure than your sibling means more security. Leander says everyone’s been in a rush to make all the necessary adjustments since they first found out at Midnight on Wednesday that Victoria would be taking her sister’s place. The word from the Crown Princess’ advance security team is that she’s very down-to-earth, Leander says, her voice anything but calm. “We’re trying to put our best foot forward,” she adds (with a near eek!) “For royalty.”
