Sugar Mountain Bake Shop has announced it is popping up at the Bellevue and University Village Pasta & Co. stores. Pastry chef Lucy Damkoehler is at the helm.

Food-truck pods are reappearing in South Lake Union after the tangle of construction drove them away. You’ll find a rotating cast of at least three trucks parked across the street from Toyota of Seattle (2121 Eighth Ave.) in the former Enterprise Rental Car lot. 


Capitol Hill is getting a new brewery next year. Husband-and-wife team Gay Gilmore and Troy Hakala will open Optimism Brewing in the Great Western Motors building at Broadway and Union.


Top Pot is opening a 16th location on the second level of The Post, above Post Alley. This new spot will offer 38 varieties of doughnuts, plus a new pour-over coffee bar with single-origin beans. The store will open sometime this spring. E
