Andy Kotowicz, an executive at Sub Pop Records, died suddenly in October due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Kotowicz’s insight helped make Sub Pop the success it is today, and his influence launched the career of many an indie band. Performers who worked with Kotowicz throughout his lifetime gathered at the Showbox on Dec. 4 for a show benefiting the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation. The foundation helps support Kotowicz’s family, which include his widow Jocelyn and their young daughter Anna. Wolf Eyes, Pissed Jeans and Mudhoney were just a few of the performers who paid tribute to Kotowicz.Photos by Laura Musselman.Published on December 6, 2010
