Last Saturday, people came to the Pyramid Alehouse dressed up and ready to engage in the biggest food fight of their lives. This wasn’t your ordinary food fight. Instead of throwing spaghetti, meatballs and cake, the only ingredient used was tomatoes. The Tomato Battle tours the country, utilizing the county’s abundance of overripe tomatoes. Instead of chucking them in the garbage, they facilitate the chucking of them at peoples’ faces!Photos by Catherine Anstett.Published on September 26, 2011
