Emerald City ComiCon pulled out all the stops this year, bringing in such guest speakers as Leonard Nimoy and Lou Ferrigno.

September: Bumbershoot happens whether there's rain or shine. This year, in spite of the rain, some pretty awesome acts and students took place - like this motorcycle thrill ride across a tightrope. The act was performed by the professional women of the Circus Una Motorcycle Thrill Show, so don't try this at home, kids.
In March, Seattle Weekly tagged along with a group of bikers traveling from bikini barista stand to bikini barista stand. The original slideshow was heavy on motorcycling men, and this is a rare glimpse of a bikini barista.

There’s no rhyme or reason to how the year’s best photos were chosen. Some remind us of 2010’s biggest trends. Others demonstrate Seattle’s residents are their weirdest. The best are simply damn fine examples of photography.
