Leavenworth is a strange little slice of faux-Bavarian heaven in the Cascade mountains where, one month a year, crowds from around the world come to celebrate the harvest bounty of Oktoberfest. Having never before attended Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, the bounty of lovely ladies in all their Dirndl-ish finery was particularly surprising.Photos by Zibby Wilder.Published on October 13, 2010
