Can't Quit Clinton: I don't care who you vote for any longer. The Democratic Primary has been over for a long time now, and to waste time on this group of 'whiners' when we already have a 'winner' is plain pathetic. Vote for whoever you like, but don't threaten folks with your vote and don't claim you are a Democrat. Also, when you've handed John McCain (whose policies have mirrored George Bush's over the past seven years) the White House, please promise everyone that you'll lead the movement to apologize to real progressives and the rest of the world for the continued damage to our planet that McCain and his merry men of Bush followers will surely have done when--it's all said and done. - Submitted by Jake from Lynnwood

Why Don't Record Labels Offer Their Artists Health Insurance?: Now, almost anyone who is a self-employed 'independent contract' can get their own health insurance coverage, but it will cost more for less coverage; they just have to suck it up and pay the higher premium for an individual policy, unless they can tag along on their spouse's group policy. That's if they get medical insurance at all. A lot of low income self-employed people go without health insurance. They're just another group that doesn't have a safety net in our inadequate healthcare system. - Submitted by dr.randy
Runaways Biopic Gets the Green Light: The article also mentions that the movie will be written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, which will by default make it the scariest biopic ever produced. - Submitted by cosby
Please Let Me Handle the Fruit: A Scolding: Part of the reason I go and pick fresh fruit from the market (versus a can) is so I can touch it and make sure I get exactly what I want in the way of ripeness. Sure, the owner of the stand has the right to shoo away my hand but they should also realize they are shooing ME away and my money. - Submitted by jason
Wazzu Gets Even Drunker: (Responding to prior comment) Hmm that's funny. If you look up the all-time Apple Cup record, the UW has a 64-30-6 edge. Must be a mis-print since you have such a long tradition of beating us. - Submitted by Keith Malloy
Teen Trauma: Just like I've been saying for years. Men will put up with any amount of batsh*t crazy behavior (anorexia, in this case), any amount of being treated like a doormat, as long as the girl's skinny. - Submitted by Gigi from Renton
Chai's Miscarriage: I'm concerned with not only the failed elephant breeding program - which is outrageous - and the elephants' artificial, restricted habitat, but with all animals in capture at the Woodland Park Zoo. If indeed species conservation is the leading motif, why in the world can't all parties agree to send resources and expertise to the countries of origin where the animals belong! I have a sneaking suspicion that Dr. Hawkes and many other zoo experts and promoters have the ulterior motif of keeping themselves in business. This may be understandable considering their investment of time and training, but it's time for the institution of urban zoos to go. The city should begin to implement a phase-out program, which granted may take years, but the release of the remaining elephants at Woodland to the sanctuary that's willing to take them would be a sensible start. - Submitted by Ruth Kildall
Put A Fork In John Edwards: For some reason I just can't really bring myself to care. Maybe it is because I knew he was a phony and a loser even before this news came out. - Submitted by Don Ward
Wanted: A few good hippies: It's about time we got some good humor around here. After all, the anti-war movement has become laughable. Still, just because the movement has reached an ebb, does that mean that it can't still make another peak? MoveOn is still active, but the surge has taken much of the Iraq issue away from anti-war activists (locally most notably Darcy Burner)... - Submitted by Anon47
Rating Top Two, and the Candidates for Secretary of State: PLEASE reconsider your choice in the Secretary of State's race. And think about coming together with people - like Jason Osgood - who may have slightly different ideas about repairing the system, but who share your fundamental concerns. Maybe if all of us put our heads together we could find common solutions. And Sam Reed is not going to be of any help - I promise you that. - Submitted by Jeff Upthegrove
It's Tearin' Up My Heart...That I Know All The Lyrics to That Song: I love it! Here we go again. Funny though, when Nick was 12 and IN the already formed Backstreet Boys, Justin and JC were just Mickey Mouseketeers and Chris had just tried out for and FAILED to get into the Backstreet Boys. I think hard facts and timelines disprove even the wishful thoughts of whatever nsync member who tried to justify their later actions by their earlier wishful thinking. - Submitted by Maris
