Barack Obama: Born In the U.S.A.: The reason this wont go away is that the posted document is not certifiable, verifiable and has no traceable information as to hospital location. Obama has 3 lawsuits in federal and state courts demanding he demonstrate that his was not foreign born and he Obama has so far refused to give up the requested documents. This is retarded to not give access unless you were in fact hiding something - like being foreign born. - Submitted by Steve Marquis

The Arc of History is Bending Toward A Global Era: Well, it could also be argued that electing Obama would be reactionary act to counter the last eight years. Nevertheless, I don't see how either candidate can solve the world financial crisis with the plans they are hocking. - Submitted by buzz
Down in Tacoma for the Down-Ticket: Good review and great find on the Carlo Rossi shirt. Strange political climate indeed. Last paragraph about the speech almost made me shoot milk out my nose, which is odd because I haven't had any milk. - Submitted by Brian
Ferry Tales: Mutiny is Coming: Half-dozen people? Hardly - more like closer to 30. Heck, there was one family of six who also brought a friend. We had people positioned in several key access points to Coleman Dock, as well as a few who, later in the evening, rode the Bremerton ferry distributing information. We unloaded a couple thousand flyers with the information you relate, and they were eagerly gobbled up ferry patrons, a great many of whom replied in the affirmative - sometimes in the irritated and borderline profane affirmative - when asked whether the felt as though they were getting ripped off by Washington State Ferries. Everyone in the Puget Sound region has a unique Ferry Tale of his or her own with none of them positive - Washington State Ferries is way past due for systemic reform, top to bottom and inside out. - Submitted by Piper Scott
Jim Rice poses in his batting stance.
First Call: Tini Bigs: Heh. Utah is eerily similar to British Columbia when it comes to alcohol regulation. No happy hours there either. No wine in their supermarkets either. Regardless, I loved learning about this. Too bad we can't buy Kirkland Signature vodka. I sure would. - Submitted by Ben
Mission Keeps Its Shirt Tucked In: Mission is my local. Everything you say about it is true. It is especially valuable because the kitchen is open until midnight with an excellent late-night menu. Perfect for after the mid-week show or the opera or whatever. - Submitted by DC
