THE WALKING PAPERS Duff McKagan and Mike McCready—veterans of Guns N’ Roses and Pearl Jam, respectively—bring their band to Slim’s for an after-work special that benefits The Heroes Project, a nonprofit that brings wounded veterans to the top of the world’s highest peaks. All this evening’s proceeds help pay for single-amputee Marine Kionte Storey’s trip up Mount Vinson in Antarctica.
