In preparation of SW’s Reverb Local Music Festival–70+ local bands, Ballard, Oct. 8, check it all out here–Reverb is hosting a handful of happy-hour pre-funks in the weeks leading to the big day. Each show will feature a band on the Reverb Fest bill.Tonight, the honors go to Seattle’s Garbage-meets-Redwood Plan rockers Furniture Girls. They’ll be playing their “Ballad of Baby Bear” (nice) tonight at 5:30. The show is free, there are drink specials, and the VIEW FROM THE UPPER DECK SHOULD BE KILLER TONIGHT.Subsequent Hard Rock pre-funks are: McTuff (Sept. 22), and Ghosts I’ve Met (Oct. 5).Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
