Detained journalist Dorothy “D” Parvaz used to work at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Recently she went to Syria to cover the rebellion there for Al Jazeera. Instead, she never left Damascus. She was arrested promptly, detained in Syria, then, this week, transported to Iran where she’s still being detained. But why was she arrested in the first place?
