Solomon X. Thompson has a long history of being a god awful member of humanity–be it the time he tried to kill his own mother, the several times he assaulted guards and doctors at jails and hospitals, or the random times he’d walk up to strangers and snatch their cell phones then punch them in the face when they objected. His latest crime, however, takes the cake for depravity.Thompson just pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary and second-degree assault of an 81-year-old South Seattle woman, reports KOMO News Wednesday.The July 30 crime went down like this: old woman hears a knock at her door on and thinks it’s her furnace repair man, so she opens it. It’s not the repair man. It’s Thompson. Fuck. He immediately grabs her by the throat and starts punching her in the face. She fights and screams. He continues punching and then starts ripping open her blouse. Neighbors eventually hear the commotion and come down to help. Thompson wrestles with another guy, then eventually slips out of his jacket and runs away.He was arrested not long afterward.As the elderly victim described it:”He looked like a killer. He kept beating and beating, and beating into my throat.”The woman ended up needing surgery on her throat because Thompson’s grip punched a hole in it. After Thompson was arrested, he tried to tell investigators that he had showed up at the woman’s door hungry and she was going to feed him until “three white people” showed up and tried to make him leave. Then the fight broke out, he said.The court called his nonsense and prosecutors are asking for more than the normal maximum sentence because he’s only recently been let out of prison and he is, in almost every capacity, an enormously shitty person.
