Jim Noir, Barsuk’s rogue British employee (or is it employer?), is nothing

Jim Noir, Barsuk’s rogue British employee (or is it employer?), is nothing if not one hot and sunny songwriter. So it’s only appropriate that he chose this hot/sunny/sticky day to drop his new, free four-song EP, Melody Junction.I’m only most of the way through my first listen, but those who have followed Noir on his pair of Barsuk full-lengths will immediately recognize his charming ’60s pop and hints of psychedelia. He’s also brought some extra sampling to the mix to soup up his vamps (see the title track). Grab the EP now over at his web site, jimnoir.com.This won’t be the last we hear from Noir for a while. The UK’s The Fly reports that his forthcoming physical EP, Zooper Dooper, will drop sometime in the fall. No word yet on whether Barsuk will be involved in the project.
