In 2007, I wrote a column which informed the masses (“masses” defined as only those people who read Bottomfeeder) that the Oh Boy! Oberto factory outlet store on Rainier Avenue had a deli counter which rivaled the best in town. This counter featured sausages, chili, and delicious, gargantuan sandwiches that were difficult to get one’s mouth around. Well, Kauffman swung by for a sandwich yesterday, only to learn that Oberto had ceased serving them. The sausages still remain, but things will never be the same.
