OK, maybe Salmon House Popsicle doesn’t grab you. How about: Bomb Pop as adult beverage? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.Ivar’s on Lake Union (401 N.E. Northlake Way)layers Raspberry Soli, blue curucao, sour mix, 7UP and grenadine to create a cocktail that’s spookily and dangerously similar to the old school ice cream truck staple (which my 31 year old brother still calls the “ding ding man”). Yeah, it’s a little sweet, but it’s a freaking gas, especially when enjoying one on the deck.Just in case you didn’t know, Ivar’s has an insane happy hour going on this summer: 3:30pm til close Sunday through Thursday and 3:30pm til close and 9:00pm til close on Friday and Saturday. Specials include $3.50 wells, wine and beer, $6 specialty drinks and food specials. On a sad day like today, couldn’t we all use a little bit of childhood spiked with alcohol?
