The gentleman in the debonair, hand-in-pocket pose above is actually robbing a downtown Washington Mutual. The robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon and was the reason helicopters were circling above the city–the dude left a package that he falsely claimed was full of explosives.On the bank robbery tip: the FBI says that female bank robbers, or “Bonnies without Clydes”, are increasing in number. (Women still make up only 6% of bank robbers.) The most recent local female bank robber was Arlington’s Barely Legal Bandit, who turned herself in the next day.
