AMC, one of the nation’s largest theater chains, wants you to catch up on all five of the Oscar nominated pictures in one ass-tastic marathon sitting contest. On Sat., Feb. 21, two of its local theaters will be screening The Reader, Milk, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Slumdog Millionaire, and Frost/Nixon from 10:30 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. The price? $25-$30 for all five, which is a nice recession-era discount. The catch? Instad of sensibly programming the fest at one of AMC’s in-city theaters, like Pacific Place, you’ll have to drive to Kent or Woodinville to see them.
