An early supporter of Barack Obama in the supposedly crucial New Hampshire primary, Robinson has just agreed to deliver a prayer at the Obama’s inauguration. In addition to being a thank-you for political support and an acknowledgment of Robinson’s significance, the invitation is likely an attempt by Obama to quell criticism of his choice of Prop-8 supporting pastor Rick Warren (seen here comparing gay marriage to incest, polygamy, and pedophilia and making ridiculous claims about free speech) to deliver the convocation.Gene Robinson at Town Hall, 7:30, 1119 8th Ave., $10-15
