Journey, Heart, & Cheap Trick

Get ready for one helluva sing-along, Seattle: Heart, Journey, and Cheap Trick are touring together. Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Every second of my daydreams, I live another life, in which it is 1975 and I am a womens-studies major cum antiwar activist with flat-ironed hair and a police record from my multiple arrests with members of the SDS. Fight the power! Idealistic fantasies aside, who among you doesnt know all the words to Dont Stop Believin or Barracuda or I Want You (to Want Me)? Or, lets take it one step further: Who among you has not covered one of these hits at a karaoke bar (if not all three)? Bonus points if you posted your performance on YouTube . . . hey, it paid off for Journeys latest singer, Arnel Pineda. Rest assured there wont be an unstretched vocal cord in the joint by the time this concert ends (hopefully with a tear-jerking version of Lights). Whether you love Heart (led by Seattle-raised sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, who just ordered the McCain-Palin campaign to stop playing Barracuda!), heart Journey, or are just there for a little Cheap Trick, everyones going home satisfied tonight. White River Amphitheatre, 40601 Auburn-Enumclaw Rd., 360-825-6200, www.livenation.com. $27.50$125. 7 p.m. SARA BRICKNER
Fri., Sept. 19, 7 p.m., 2008
