Kurrent One Year Anniversary

Happy birthday, Kurrent! My favorite new trendy bar on Capitol Hill recently celebrated its first anniversary. To thank its clientele, it’s offering happy hour all day, every day, until the end of this month. (That’s Sunday, Aug. 31, so start drinking, and drink often. I know I have.) The watering hole offers $3 beers, $5 cocktails, seizure-inducing dance music, and a really cute bartender named Skylar—call me!—who makes patrons of both sexes all googly-eyed. Best of all is Kurrent’s 50-foot-long ice bar that can double as a Slip ’n’ Slide on particularly warm summer evenings. Hypothetically, of course. Kurrent, 600 E.
