My guitar was purple, green, black, and pink. I cant remember what Sarahs looked like, but both our guitars were made out of pieces of scrap wood we nailed together, with Crayola designs. Wed flip our heads upside down, spray as much aqua net on our hair as possible, then blow dry. The microphone was my bedpost and the audience was Cabbage Patch Kids, my band posters, and our reflections in the mirror. Wed start off with Rio (of course), followed by Save a Prayer, Girls on Film, and finally Hungry Like the Wolf. We rocked. Everyone who grew up during the 80s has a Duran Duran memory. Some may be a little too vividlike getting kicked out of Merriweather Post Pavilion for scaling a wall and grabbing Simons package while he was in that weird harness thing hanging over the crowd. Get ready to belt out Do do do do do do, because the boys are back. Oh and yes, Simon and Nick are still foxy. WaMu Theater, 800 Occidental Ave. S., 628-0888, www.wamutheater.com. $50-$80. 8 p.m. LIL SCOOP
