Yulefest

Published 8:00 am Tuesday, November 13, 2007

Christmas among Scandinavian-Americans is largely about food, and the Nordic Heritage Museum’s Yulefest (it’s not too early for celebrating, is it?) will offer plenty of traditional treats like glögg (hot spiced wine) and rømmegrøt (a porridge made from flour boiled with cream). Funny, there’s no mention in their press release of lutefisk, Norway’s chief contribution to ethnic humor. Crafts, music, and folk dancing will fill out the two-day schedule.

Sat., Nov. 17, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun., Nov. 18, 12-5 p.m., 2007
