Stories
Johnny Moses
Learn more about the orca—that ubiquitous figure in Northwest Coast tribal art—and its role in Native American culture through traditional myths and legends in “The Human-Orca Connection,” a storytelling session with Johnny Moses. Raised on Vancouver Island as a “memorizer” for the Salish people, Moses speaks eight native languages. This is a fund-raiser for the 11,000-volume Seattle Metaphysical Library, providing esoteric materials free for browsing since 1961. Seattle Metaphysical Library, 2220 N.W. Market St., 329-1794, www.seattlemetaphysical library.org. $10 suggested donation. 3:30 p.m. GAVIN BORCHERT
