This Wednesday, you have the rare opportunity to eat seafood while surrounded by aquatic life. Ray's and Cutters Crabhouse join more than 30 local restaurants serving bites at the 9th annual Restaurant After Hours at the Seattle Aquarium tomorrow night. If eating fish surrounded by fish isn't your thing, other vendors, including FareStart, Marination Ma Kai, and Il Fornaio, will be on hand at Pier 59 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets and more details are over here.
Speaking of Il Fornaio, the Italian chain's downtown location at 600 Pine St. is launching a series of cooking classes for kids and adults. This Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., chef Franz Junga will teach a class featuring recipes inspired by his travels through Italy's Umbria region. Upcoming classes focus on soup (Mar. 9) and fresh pasta (Apr. 13). Breakfast is included with the $35 class fee. Call (206) 949-6041 to make reservations.
