Seattle is about to score a new banh mi shop north of the Ship Canal. Plume is expected to open its doors by the end of the month in the former Forza Coffee space at 5101 25th Ave NE across from University Village. Plume's first store opened in Kirkland in the middle of last year. All of the shop's Vietnamese-style sandwiches are made with bread baked in house.
In other news, Ethan Stowell is about to launch a third establishment on Capitol Hill. Eater reports that Bar Cotto, Stowell's new watering hole featuring pizza and salumi, will open in the middle of February in the space next to Anchovies & Olives at 1550 15th Ave.
