Less than a year after it opened for business, Belltown's C. S. Finnegan's Irish House at 2604 1st Ave. has shuttered. According to Eater, the Black Bottle neighbor owned by Gareth Hughes will remain available as an event space. Hughes will continue to operate his popular West Seattle watering hole The Celtic Swell.
Over on the Hill, CHS reports that Five Fish Bistro has closed its doors. The restaurant opened last January in the former UPS Store space at 410 E. Broadway. In addition to offering five varieties of fresh fish daily, the eatery served po' boy and panini sandwiches. Here's hoping that owner and industry vet Garnet Pitre has something else in store for the local food scene.
