Little Uncle
Ballardites best be ready to hear the words "craft" and "nanobrewery" even more in the coming months. Hopping on the new beer joint bandwagon alongside the forthcoming Peddler Brewing Company, My Ballard reports that Populuxe Brewery and taproom is slated to open at 826 NW 49th St. by the end of January.

In more news, Ballard Pizza Company introduced winter hours this week. The Grubb Brothers Productions pizza shop at 5107 Ballard Ave. NW is now closed for lunch. Pies will be served starting at 4 p.m. daily, with happy hour running Sunday through Thursday until 6 p.m.

Over in the CD, Little Uncle has reopened. Eater reports that the tiny Thai take-out window at 1509 E. Madison St. closed early last month while owners Wiley Frank and Poncharee Kounpungchart traveled to Thailand.

It looks like Top Pot's wandering eye has rested its gaze on Issaquah. According to Nosh Pit, the local doughnut empire is opening its first ever drive-thru in a vintage building close to the Issaquah Transit Center at 12th Ave. NW and NW Maple St. Expect doors to open at the end of next month.
