You may have to check your holiday shopping list twice or chop down a tree in the next few days, but you're also going to have to eat. Here's where to dine and drink this weekend and beyond.
Say farewell to Rover's. After more than 25 years in business, Eater Seattle reports that Thierry Rautureau (otherwise known as The Chef in the Hat!!!) is shuttering his famed French eatery at 2808 E. Madison. The restaurant in the middle of Madison Valley is expected to serve its last menu dégustation in April.
Try the samosas at Shanik. After pushing back the opening date, Meeru Dhalwala's beyond popular Indian restaurant is open for business at 500 Terry Ave. Be ready to wait in line for a table.
Partake in a seafood smorgasbord at Anchovies & Olives. This Sunday, Ethan Stowell's first Capitol Hill eatery is hosting a family-style dinner starting at 5 p.m. to commemorate the Feast of the Seven Fishes. The traditional Italian meal is typically prepared on Christmas Eve, but since all of Stowell's restaurants are closed December 24 and 25 A&O is hosing the event a day early. Call ahead for a space at the table.
