Anchovies & Olives is commemorating the traditional Southern Italian Christmas Eve meal "The Feast of the Seven Fishes" a day early. This Sunday, December 23, the Ethan Stowell eatery at 1550 15th Ave. is hosting a family-style seafood smorgasbord from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Menu bright spots include seared scallops with chestnut-apple soup, whole grilled branzino with olive oil-poached fennel, and chocolate terrine with mascarpone gelato and toffee. Reservations are highly recommended.

After a soft opening last week, Fremont's house of cured meats and fermented grains The Augustus is open for business. Seattle Met reports that the cocktail bar at 3601 Fremont Ave N. features a menu of homemade sausages, including bacon and onion gastrique linguica.
