El Camion is parking in a brick-and-mortar location. The popular fleet of food trucks announced plans to launch new venture El Camion Adentro in the coming months at 6416 15th Ave NW near Ballard High School.

After 17 years of serving pints, Old Town Alehouse at 5233 Ballard Ave. is closing its doors December 23.


Local Pho opened at 2230 3rd Ave. The Vietnamese spot replaces Japanese/French restaurant Gambas.


Mike Easton prepares his last bowls of homemade pasta today at Il Corvo's Pike Place Market Hillclimb location. Il Corvo will reopen in a larger space at 217 James St. in Pioneer Square in early 2013.

Von's is relocating to new downtown digs. After 25 years of business at 601 Pine St., the martini bar and eatery is closing January 31 and reopening in February as Von's 1000SPIRITS GustoBistro on Harbor Steps at 1225 1st Ave.


Iron Chef alum Maria Hines is set to open her third restaurant Agrodulce on December 21. The organic certified trattoria at 709 N. 35th St. will feature Sicilian-inspired nosh, including a smattering of handmade pastas.

After more than three decades serving dolmades and tzatziki, Costas Opa is closed. The Greek restaurant at 3400 Fremont Ave N. will be replaced by a Chase branch bank.

Old School Frozen Custard opened at 704 N. 34th St. Like its Capitol Hill sibling, Old School offers a rotating daily flavor, including the in-season peppermint chocolate chip.

Serving upscale pub fare, the Augustus is scheduled to open its doors next month. Located at 3601 Fremont Ave. N., the bar will fill the space previously occupied by Rogue and Peasant.

Hovering between the Fremont and Wallingford neighborhood border, Montreal-style wood-fired bagel shop Eltana is open for business at 3920 Stone Way N. The north of the canal location comes in addition to Eltana shops on Capitol Hill and inside the Seattle Center Armory.


Pagliacci Pizza's latest shop is open at 3015 E. Madison St. The new location is Seattle's first LEED certified pizzeria.


Finn's Bakery and Café is open at 3204 W. McGraw St. in former home of Upper Crust Bakery. In addition to Eastern European, Italian, and Scandinavian-style pastries, Finn's serves coffee from Stumptown.


Bluebird Microcreamery's nano-brewery is up and running at the ice cream shop's Phinneywood location at 7400 Greenwood Ave. N. Custom soda and beer, including Theo Chocolate Milk Stout, are on tap. Take-home growlers are available.


Four new businesses with ties to Capitol Hill's Melrose Market are headed to Pioneer Square in the coming months. Matt Dillon is planning a December opening for Bar Sajor, Marigold and Mint's Katherine Anderson is working with Dillon to open bakery London Plane and wine and meeting space Indigene, and Rain Shadow Meats proprietor Russell Flint is scheduled to launch a new butcher shop in February.


The Shipwreck Tavern closed this month, with its owners declaring on Facebook, "The ship is wrecked." The bar opened three years ago at 4210 S.W. Admiral Way.

Named Seattle's best diner in 2011, Meander's Kitchen shuttered its doors at 6032 California Ave. S.W. The establishment's owners are focusing on a new location in White Center.


There are now a dozen Top Pot locations in the Seattle area. The donut empire opened a cafe at 815 North 10th Street in Renton's Landing on Black Friday.
