Ballard's Bad Albert's shut down (again) this weekend due to an investor/management dispute. My Ballard reports that Shawn and Cory Rockey were forced to hand over the keys and management to the Ballard Restaurant Group. The Rockeys promise to keep fighting to reopen the landmark bar and grill.

The most life-changing fried-chicken joint in America is looking to expand. Eater Seattle reports that Ezell's Famous Chicken plans to open three to four new stores in the next year. Potential new residences include Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Redmond, Rainier Valley, Factoria, Federal Way, and Puyallup.

Additionally, five Seattle-area Noah's restaurants will be transitioning to the brand "Einstein Bros." starting in August. Noah's is owned by Einstein Bros. and the rebranding will expand the menu and offer a larger selection of healthier foods and specialty beverages. The managers and staff will remain the same.
