Kukuruza Gourmet Popcorn is opening a second location at 2211 N.W. Market St., according to My Ballard. The gourmet popcorn shop will offer a dozen-plus flavors. It's owners also operate Popcorn Pavilion in Bellevue. (In case you're curious, "Kukuruza" is Russian for "corn.")
In less upbeat news, Capitol Hill Seattle reports that Lebanese restaurant Karam's at 340 15th Ave. E. is closing on Saturday, June 16, after 25 years of business. Fortunately, loyal customers will still be able to pick up Karam's products -- including its awesome garlic sauce -- at several local stores.
