From time to time I try a cannabis edible that is so delicious, I'd eat it even if there weren't any marijuana involved. Kush Cakes Frosted Lemon Pound Cake falls squarely within that happy category.
The cakes come four to a package for a $10 donation, and their lemon-flavored frosting puts them over the top into the sheer hedonistic delight category. The Kush Cakes were moist, fresh, and delicious -- my tastebuds thought the treats were heaven on earth with a glass of milk.
But of course, at medible prices, the taste had better be just Act One.
The Kush Cakes didn't disappoint in that regard. Part of the non-disappointment factor is undoubtedly due to the fact that I consumed all four of these delicious little sons of bitches at one sitting; I have a sizable tolerance to cannabis, particularly in medible form, so I grow impatient with what, to me, feels like under-dosing.
Turns out I made exactly the right decision by consuming all four Kush Cakes at once -- the right decision for me, that is. If you have a lower tolerance or greater sensitivity to eating cannabis, you might want to try only one or two of the cakes and wait 45 minutes to an hour to gauge the effects before having more.
Ignore that advice at your own peril; one "Incredible Medibles" reader shared with me via email that she found herself crawling around in the floor after consuming all of one particularly potent medicated treat on the spot.
