    Scratch Deli is now serving sandwiches in Wallingford.
    It's been a big week in restaurant openings and closings. First off, in Belltown, Isola Bella, Sicilian Cafe will debut at 2302 1st Ave. next month. The establishment will operate as a bakery and coffee shop by day, and serve meatballs and pizza by-the-slice at night.

    On Capitol Hill, EVO Tapas Kitchen & Cabaret is scheduled to debut at 1715 E. Olive Way on April 28. The establishment will serve as a restaurant, bar, and entertainment venue, and feature feature Mediterranean-style small plates including flat bread, pork belly and lamb.

    In Columbia City, two new African restaurants are now up and running. Afrikando Banadir at 5212 Rainier Ave. S. serves both authentic East and West African cuisine, while Teranga Senegalese Restaurant serves Sengalese food at 4903-1/2 Rainier Ave. S.

    Downtown, iconic French restaurant Chez Shea at 94 Pike St. is closing after nearly 30 years. Moving into the upstairs space will be Bainbride Island-based roaster and mail-order coffee business Storyville Coffee Company,

    In Queen Anne, Red Papaya Ale and Spirits is open at 530 1st Ave. N. The establishment offers an unique combination of both Asian cuisine and microbrews.

    In Wallingford, Scratch Deli is now open in front of Wine World at 400 N.E. 45th St.. The food truck offers an eclectic range of sandwiches, from banh mi to blue cheesesteak. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available. In less happy news for the neighborhood, Elemental at Gasworks and its more casual offshoot Elemental Next Door at 3309 Wallingford Ave. N. will both close its doors on June 21. The owners say that the lease has ended and they are ready to take on new challenges.
